Cooper Types

Bare Bright #1 Copper wire - Shinny bare, uncoated, unalloyed copper wire free of attachments. All the insulation has been removed from the wire and it is free of solder, paint and corrosion.

#1 Copper wire - Bare or burnt wire that is uncoated, unalloyed and free of attachments. All the insulation has been removed from the wire and it is free of solder, paint and heavy corrosion. Any silver plated, square or box type wire is #2 wire except for copper colored buss bar.

#1 Copper tubing - Uncoated, unalloyed copper tubing free of attachments. All the insulation has been removed and it is free of solder, paint and heavy corrosion. Some discoloration is allowed. Any ribbed tubing is #2 copper.

#2 Copper wire - Non insulated square, box type or thinner than #2 pencil lead wire with no attachments. Resin coated, silver plated, solder, paint and heavy corrosion are allowed.

#2 Copper tubing - ribbed or tubing with paint and solder allowed but no brass allowed.

Sheet Copper - sheets of copper or tubing with heavy amounts of paint.

Copper with brass - will be bought as yellow brass.

Copper breakage - items with copper motors inside such as blenders, mixers, fans (small appliances). Must have power cords.
